Job Description

Our client a Global oil and Gas company is currently recruiting for an experienced security Guard to work on their site in Reading. The successful candidate will covering for a employee who will be absent for approximately 5 - 6 months. The job holder will be part of the six-strong Group Security team, which provides security support to the whole business. The job is based in the head office in Thames Valley Park in Reading. The job holder will carry out a number of security support functions which typically will include: Reviewing and updating the content of the Security pages of the company Intranet site. Conducting a variety of security related training presentations including travel security presentations to staff members. Managing the \"travel- tracking\" service provided to staff members in coordination with a service supply company. Producing regular security updates on a variety of topics for security managers based in operational assets. Reviewing various security and crisis management plans. Assisting with organising training events and conferences. A variety of other security management support related activities. Training materials and a variety of on-line resources are already available in most areas to support this work. The job holder will get the chance to work in the corporate security department of a UK FTSE top 10 company with significant international operations. They will be regularly working with a number of well known international security consultancies and will be able to develop contacts and experience which are likely to be of long term use in a security career.
